Pastor Steven T. Ward

 “Delight thyself also in the lord and he shall give thee the desires of thy heart” 

Steven Tremaine Ward Sr. was born on May 3rd 1980 in Albany, New York to the loving parents of Sharon and Howard Ward. He was raised in a military family along with his two siblings, Gregory and Ashley. In 1991 his family relocated to Killeen, Texas and joined Christ Gospel Apostolic Church. Steven served as an usher in the ministry and was baptized in Jesus Name at the age of eleven.

In 1992, his family moved to Seattle, Washington and joined the Greater Christ Temple Apostolic Church. Steven was a member of the Chosen Generation Choir, assisted the deacons in cleaning the sanctuary on the weekends and also raised money for the youth department through fundraising activities. He later received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of twelve during an Altar Call by District Elder Forest.

In 2000, Steven served as the Praise and Worship Leader and was a member of the Brother Hood Choir in Camp Stanley, Korea at the post chapel. In 2001, Steven met his first girlfriend and future wife, Tomika Shavonne Mim’s. During the summer of 2002 his family moved back to Seattle, Washington where he preached his first message, “ The Vision is Yet for an Appointed Time ” in 2003 at Greater Christ Temple Church under the leadership of the honorable Bishop C.E. Montgomery.

In 2004, Steven served as Youth Pastor and was a member of the Praise Ensemble at New Hope Family Worship Center in Houston, Texas under the leadership of District Elder Marvin Ray Mims and First Lady Bonnie Sue Mims.

During his military career, Steven won the Distinguished Honor Graduate and Leadership Award in 2005 (Ft. Benning, Georgia). He also received several promotions with waivers including a Battle Field Promotion to the Rank of Staff Sergeant in Afghanistan (2011). The Lord has blessed our Pastor with many administrative gifts, interpersonal skills and a spirit of excellence. Pastor Ward is a servant at heart, a cheerful giver and faithfully served under many Pastors throughout his military service.

On 16 September 2016, Pastor Ward answered God’s call and held his first service as Pastor of Temple of Restoration (TORCH) at 2505 West Adams Avenue in Temple,

Texas. Nearly a year later on August 2nd 2017, God blessed Pastor Ward to find a property that is over 4,000 square feet larger than his previous Church. Today, Pastor Ward is impacting many lives in the Central Texas area by preaching the Gospel and showing the love of Jesus Christ to everyone he encounters with the assistance of his gorgeous Wife, Tomika. Pastor Ward is a great Leader who believes strongly in Family, Faith and Fun. Pastor Ward is very active in the community and provides mentorship through his TORCH Elite Basketball Program to a diverse population. He is an avid sports fan, loves to play basketball and video games, and enjoys listening to preaching… Pastor also loves to edit videos in his spare time.

He attributes his passion for the ministry to God and to the legacy of his late Grandfather Elder Lawford Baxtor, his late Grandmother Evangelist Juanita Baxter, his mother Evangelist Sharon Ward and the ministry of Bishop Noel Jones.

God has blessed him and his lovely wife to be married for 18 years and has given them five beautiful children Tiana, Steven Jr.; Samuel; Tamia, and Tiara.

Lady Tomika Ward

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help”

Tomika Ward is an extremely valuable asset to the Body of Christ, colleagues and family members alike. Her extraordinary leadership and unconditional love for humanity extends beyond the Church walls. Tomika’s impact on women, children and customers is noteworthy. Throughout her life, she has provided a listening ear, Christ like compassion and sound guidance to many wounded women which lifted their spirits. Additionally, Lady Ward is also known as “Momma Ward” for her motherly love which extends outside her home to countless young men and women.

Tomika’s star is shining bright everywhere including in Pflugerville, Texas at the United States Postal Office (USPS) where she provides exceptional customer service. She is very kind, loving and is a great example for all to emulate. In 2001, Tomika’s stunning beauty and kindness caught the attention of her husband, Pastor Steven T. Ward Sr. in Korea. What a marvelous plan God has manifested! Out of this beautiful union of 18 years the Lord has blessed them with three wonderful daughters Tiana, Tamia and Tiara plus two amazing sons; Steven Jr, and Samuel.

Lady Ward is a natural born leader and is always serving her husband and family with agape love. Furthermore, she is the pillar of Temple of Restoration (TORCH) and our ministry is forever grateful for her sacrifices and unwavering support. In her spare time, Lady Ward enjoys reading, shopping and spending quality time with her friends and family. Tomika Shavonne Ward was born on July 9th 1982 to the loving parents of Pastor Marvin Ray Mims Sr. (Deceased) and Overseer Bonnie Sue Mims. She was raised in Houston, Texas along with her four siblings; Felecia, Marvin, Tracy and Aaron.

Torch Elite Basketball

YOUTH MINISTRY

We’re a unique Independent Program that provides year round basketball training and tournaments for children in 5th & 6th grade. We PROMOTE growth for all Student Athletes through our Championship Culture, Challenging Basketball Schedule and Team Diversity. We INSPIRE our Students Athletes to succeed in the Classroom, on the Court and within the Central Texas Community through our Leadership, Mentorship and Adaptive Coaching. We COMPETE against the best AAU (Athletic Amateur Union) competition in Texas which include tournaments in Belton, Waco, Leander, Round Rock, Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. We TEACH the Fundamentals of Basketball, Promote Teamwork and Specialize in Skill Development. We PROVIDE High Quality Custom Uniforms, Team Apparel and Equipment.
